Chift Raises €10.5 Million in Series A Funding Round

Chift, a startup based in Brussels, has secured €10.5 million in a Series A funding round. The company offers a financial connectivity layer for European software, facilitating the connection between software vendors and the financial tools used by their customers.

The funding round was led by BlackFin Capital Partners, a prominent European FinTech investor with over €4 billion in assets under management. Existing investors Entourage, Shapers, Seeder Fund, and Wallonie Entreprendre also participated in the round.

Pauline Brunel, Investment Director at BlackFin Capital Partners, highlighted the challenges of building financial data connectivity in Europe and emphasized the value of Chift’s position in the market.

Founded in 2022 by Gauthier Henroz, Henry Hertoghe, and Matthieu Hertoghe, Chift allows software companies to integrate with over 120 financial systems through a unified API. This eliminates the need to build and maintain individual connections, streamlining processes for software vendors.

Chift is not only focused on financial software but also on orchestrating how AI systems handle financial data. The company’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server enables AI agents to securely retrieve and push data across its network of integrations, simplifying authentication and access control for developers.

Gauthier Henroz, CEO and co-founder of Chift, emphasized the importance of interoperability in European SMB finance and outlined the company’s goal to connect all financial systems efficiently.

Following significant revenue growth since its Seed round in 2024, Chift has expanded its team to 35 employees and serves over 150 software companies and 50,000 SMEs across ten European countries. Notable clients include FinTechs like Revolut, Qonto, Pennylane, and Mollie.
