Fernando Alonso Enjoys Holidays in Monaco with $11 Million Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR

Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso is making the most of his holidays in Monaco, cruising around town in style in his new supercar – a Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Strassenversion. This Christmas, he was seen driving around the principality with his girlfriend, turning heads with his $11 million luxury vehicle.

The CLK-GTR is an extremely rare homologation special that was crafted during the iconic GT1 era. Only 28 of these cars were ever produced, with 20 coupes and 6 roadsters in the lineup.

Based on the CLK-GTR Le Mans race car, the CLK-GTR is equipped with a powerful 6.9-liter V12 engine that delivers an impressive 622 hp @ 6500 rpm and 539 lb-ft of torque @ 5250 rpm. This beast of a motor is mated to a 6-speed sequential manual transmission with a carbon-fibre clutch. The car can go from 0-62 mph in a lightning-fast 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 200 mph.

Among the CLK-GTR models, the roadsters hold even more value due to their rarity. In a recent incident, an FBI seizure in Los Angeles involved a CLK-GTR Roadster valued at a staggering $13 million.
