Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 Unleashed: Powering Up with a 6-Cylinder Engine and Drift Mode
New Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 Unveiled with Powerful Inline 6-Cylinder Engine
Mercedes-AMG CEO Michael Schiebe recently announced the addition of new inline 6-cylinder models to the brand’s lineup as part of its product strategy realignment. The first of these new models has now been unveiled in the form of the 2027 GLC 53.
The latest Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 is equipped with a revamped M256M inline 6-cylinder engine that generates an impressive 443 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, which can be boosted to 472 lb-ft with the overboost function. This enhanced torque output is achieved through the utilization of a different cylinder head, intake camshaft, larger intake, new intercooler, and redesigned exhaust system.
The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that transfers power to all four wheels through an electronic limited-slip differential. Mercedes claims that the new GLC 53 can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 167 mph.
The AMG GLC 53 will be offered in two body styles – standard and coupe. Despite being the entry-level AMG model, it exudes a muscular appearance without the full sporty exterior treatment.

Experience the dynamic performance and striking design of the 2027 Mercedes-AMG GLC 53, featuring cutting-edge technology and exceptional driving capabilities.
