New Difficulty Mode and Improvements Coming to The Blood of Dawnwalker

Following a successful launch of The Blood of Dawnwalker, developer Rebel Wolves is gearing up for the game’s first major update. This update will introduce a new difficulty mode and a range of improvements, expected to be released in early October. The initial release of the game received some criticism for its timer mechanic, but there is already confirmation of a sequel in the works.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz announced plans to add an easier difficulty level to the game. This new Story mode will cater to players who prefer a less challenging experience focused on storytelling rather than combat. Additionally, improvements are being made to the game’s mechanics to make it easier for players to escape tough fights without getting stuck on geometry.

Tomaszkiewicz also mentioned changes to combat mechanics, including a fix for when using abilities that stun enemies. In the upcoming patch, players will need to hit a stunned enemy three times to remove the stun effect. These adjustments aim to enhance the overall gameplay experience based on player feedback.

Performance Enhancements and Future Updates

The developer is also working on improving performance on PC, acknowledging that not all hardware configurations meet players’ expectations. Tomaszkiewicz emphasized the team’s commitment to addressing performance issues and optimizing the game for a smoother experience. Despite challenges with achieving high frame rates, the team remains dedicated to delivering a satisfactory gameplay experience for all players.

Looking ahead, there are discussions about introducing a new game plus mode with potential new enemies for added variety. While details are still under wraps, Tomaszkiewicz hinted at exciting possibilities for future updates to keep players engaged and entertained. Stay tuned for more information as the development progresses.
