Ram Trucks has revealed the highly anticipated 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee, boasting a powerful supercharged petrol V8 engine that delivers an impressive 579kW and 922Nm of torque. This range-topping SRT model is set to rival the current Ram 1500 SRT TRX in terms of performance, with a 0-60mph time of just 3.4 seconds, making it the fastest petrol-powered production ute to date.

The Australian market may have the opportunity to see the high-performance Rumble Bee SRT on its shores, as right-hand-drive conversions are handled by Walkinshaw in Melbourne. This pickup could potentially be offered by Australian importer and distributor Ateco, following the success of the previous Ram 1500 TRX in 2022.

In addition to the SRT model, the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee lineup in North America includes two other variants: an entry-level model with a 5.7-litre V8 engine producing 295kW and 556Nm, and a mid-range 392 variant equipped with a 6.4-litre V8 engine generating 350kW and 617Nm. Both models offer impressive acceleration, with 0-60mph times of 6.1 and 5.2 seconds respectively.

Despite the performance prowess of the Rumble Bee range, none of the models feature the newer Hurricane twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engines, sticking to the tried and tested V8 powerplants.
