Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Price Hike Sparks Outrage Among Consumers
As we approach the usual time for significant discounts, the cost of a seven-month-old S26 Ultra has skyrocketed to at least £1,360/$1,400. While it may be a top-tier phone, this price hike is simply unacceptable.
Unveiling the Sneaky Price Increase
One of the most frustrating aspects of this situation is the covert manner in which Samsung implemented these price hikes.
There was no prior warning, official announcement, or acknowledgment of the rising prices. Samsung quietly slipped them in, hoping consumers wouldn’t take notice.

The news of these price hikes has now spread widely, but Samsung’s lack of transparency reflects poorly on the company.
Ensuring that the prices advertised for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra in March are honored is the minimum expectation from Samsung.
While being upfront about the price adjustments wouldn’t have justified them, it would have shown a level of care towards consumers. Samsung’s secretive approach implies that consumers are merely seen as a source of profit.
If you appreciate the features that Galaxy phones offer (as many do), feel free to continue using them. However, Samsung’s actions have demonstrated that they do not deserve your loyalty.
