Motorola Edge 70 Fusion: Unveiling the Key Specifications

Details regarding the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion have surfaced, hinting at a more cost-effective alternative to the highly anticipated Motorola Signature.

We’ve already seen the Motorola Edge 70 and heard about the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra, also known as the Motorola Signature. Now, it’s time for the entry-level model in the lineup, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, to make an appearance.

Renowned tipster Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks, has shared specifications for the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, apparently codenamed ‘Avenger’.

Blass suggests that this mid-range device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, previously seen on the Nothing Phone (3a) and Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. It is expected to come with either 8 or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

This information confirms that the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will be positioned as an affordable smartphone. The predecessor, Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, was launched at £299.99, and it is unlikely that the new model will deviate significantly from this price point.

The display of the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion appears to be an improvement. If the rumors hold true, it will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with enhanced 5200 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and a higher 144Hz peak refresh rate.

Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, the display will have curved edges. The device will maintain Motorola’s distinct nylon and linen-inspired rear material, available in five colors: Orient Blue, Sporting Green, Blue Surf, Country Air, and Silhouette.

Moreover, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will not just be aesthetically pleasing. It is expected to have impressive design certifications such as MIL-STD-810H, IP68, and IP69.

Details on the main camera indicate the use of a 50MP Sony Lytia sensor, with a 32MP front camera.

The device is expected to house a sizable 7,000mAh battery and support 68W wired charging.

One potential concern is the promise of only three major OS upgrades, a feature shared with the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. This may lag behind competitors in the market.
