Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra review 16

Samsung is gearing up for the release of its next software update for smartphones, with One UI 8.5 expected to bring a host of new features to both current flagship devices and older models. According to reports from Sammobile, the upcoming update will unlock four AI-powered features from the Samsung Galaxy S26 for existing smartphones, including the Galaxy S22 and newer models.

The four features set to be introduced through the One UI 8.5 update are Call Screening, Advanced Audio Eraser, Creative Studio, and Photo Assist. Call Screening, a feature already available on newer Google Pixel devices, aims to protect users from scam calls by having an AI answer incoming calls and provide a transcript of the conversation to help users determine if the call is legitimate.

In addition to Call Screening, the update will bring Advanced Audio Eraser, which removes background noise from audio recordings, Creative Studio for creating custom stickers and images, and Photo Assist for AI-powered photo editing capabilities.

The stable version of One UI 8.5 is set to launch in South Korea on April 30, with a global rollout expected to begin in May 2026. It’s worth noting that not all Galaxy smartphones will receive the update, as some may have already surpassed their support period. However, devices from the Galaxy S22 onwards are expected to be supported.

Overall, One UI 8.5 promises to enhance the user experience on Samsung smartphones by introducing advanced AI features for call screening, audio editing, photo editing, and creative content creation. Stay tuned for the official release of the update to enjoy these new features on your compatible Samsung device.
