BMW continues its commitment to supporting the education and training of future technicians by delivering a high-end vehicle to the Professional High School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Electronics in Burgas. The 750e xDrive, valued at €125,000, is a significant addition to the school’s training resources, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge automotive technology.
The generous donation of the 750e xDrive was made possible through a collaborative project between BMW Bulgaria, local dealer Bova Car, and BMW’s headquarters. The school’s curriculum will now include in-depth exploration of the vehicle’s components, including the powerful B58 engine, electric motor, and 18.7-kWh battery pack.
Featuring a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine producing 308 hp and 450 Nm of torque, the 750e xDrive delivers a total of 483 hp and 700 Nm of torque when combined with the electric motor. Students will have the opportunity to delve into the vehicle’s performance capabilities and technical specifications, preparing them for future careers in the automotive industry.
Despite its size, the 750e xDrive boasts impressive acceleration, reaching 62 mph in just 4.8 seconds. With a range of up to 54 miles in electric mode, the luxury sedan offers both power and efficiency. As BMW prepares for the facelift of the 7 Series, improvements in battery technology and electric range are anticipated, enhancing the vehicle’s overall performance and sustainability.
In addition to studying the 750e xDrive’s engineering and performance, students at the high school will explore safety features, driver assistance systems, and in-car technology. The upcoming Life Cycle Impulse of the 7 Series is expected to introduce new tech innovations, further enhancing the vehicle’s appeal and functionality.
