iOS 26.4: Here's when Apple will release the first beta

Apple has recently unveiled the first iOS 26.4 RC build, showcasing 13 new features that will enhance your iPhone experience in the near future. This update is expected to be rolled out to the public next week, followed by iOS 26.5 which will introduce the first Gemini-powered Siri and Apple Intelligence features. Apple has also provided detailed release notes outlining the enhancements in iOS 26.4.

The latest iOS update brings several exciting additions to Apple Music, including Playlist Playground (beta) which generates playlists based on your description, Concerts feature that helps discover nearby shows from artists in your library, Offline Music Recognition in Control Center, and Ambient Music widget for various moods like Sleep, Chill, Productivity, and Wellbeing. Additionally, full-screen backgrounds have been added to album and playlist pages for a more immersive experience.

In terms of accessibility, iOS 26.4 introduces a “Reduce bright effects” setting to minimize bright flashes when tapping on elements, easier access to subtitle and caption settings, and improved Reduce Motion setting for users sensitive to screen motion.

Other enhancements in iOS 26.4 include the addition of 8 new emojis, advanced image creation and editing tools in Freeform mode, the ability to mark reminders as urgent, Purchase Sharing for Family Sharing groups, and improved keyboard accuracy.
