Indurex Secures €7 Million Funding to Enhance Cybersecurity in Amsterdam’s Cyber-Physical Systems
Indurex
, a startup based in Amsterdam, has secured €7 million in funding for its AI-native platform designed for Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) security. This funding round took place less than nine months after the company emerged from stealth mode.
The funding was led by Contrarian Ventures, a European early-stage firm that focuses on supporting energy and industrial technology companies. Axeleo Capital and Dutch venture capital firm Curiosity also participated in the funding round.
Rokas Peciulaitis, the Founder and Managing Partner at Contrarian Ventures, emphasized the importance of understanding the physical processes behind cybersecurity alerts in critical infrastructure. He highlighted Indurex’s unique position in bridging the gap between network security and physical operations.
Indurex was co-founded by Jalal Bouhdada and Maarten Oosterink, experts in operational technology (OT), process safety, and cybersecurity. The company’s mission, established in January 2026, is to ensure the resilience, safety, and security of complex cyber-physical systems for operators in various industries such as oil and gas, energy, utilities, manufacturing, and data centers. Indurex’s key offering is the Indurex SafeGuard AI platform, which integrates data from different control systems and uses AI agents to detect anomalies and engineering deviations.
Jalal Bouhdada, the co-founder and CEO of Indurex, highlighted the company’s focus on industrial data itself, rather than just the network, to enhance cybersecurity. He stressed the importance of Engineering Intelligence in merging cybersecurity and operational excellence.
Indurex’s early customers span from mid-sized energy and manufacturing companies to large multinational enterprises. The company’s AI platform delivers value in operational excellence, safety integrity, cyber resilience, and compliance with industry frameworks.
As cyber threats to industrial environments increase, Indurex plans to use the funding for research and development, as well as expanding its commercial operations in Europe and the Middle East before entering the United States and Asia-Pacific markets.
