Mercedes vs Porsche: The Battle of Supercars

Mercedes is on the verge of unveiling the highly anticipated AMG GT Black Series, set to rival the iconic Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Both luxury automakers are gearing up for major updates, with rumors hinting at a facelift for the 911 GT3 RS in August 2026.

Spy shots of the upcoming 911 GT3 RS facelift have surfaced, showcasing a revamped rear end with a new diffuser and dual exhaust system. The addition of extra tailpipes and an innovative active rear spoiler with DRS functionality are set to enhance the performance and aerodynamics of the vehicle.

Not stopping at the rear, the front of the 911 GT3 RS is also getting a makeover. Larger air intakes and redesigned bonnet ducts are some of the changes to look out for. The updated model will also sport new headlights featuring integrated LED daytime running lights for improved visibility.

Under the hood, the new 911 GT3 RS will house a 3.6-liter flat-6 engine, a departure from its predecessors with the introduction of twin turbochargers. Speculations suggest that the twin-turbo powertrain will deliver an impressive 650 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, potentially accompanied by a ‘Boost’ mode for added performance.
