Uncovering Secrets in Elden Ring: The Cutscene Involving Miquella

FromSoftware is known for hiding secrets in their games, and Elden Ring is no exception. The game’s massive world is filled with hidden surprises, and one such secret has recently been discovered by dataminer Lance McDonald. This secret involves a cutscene featuring Miquella, a character frequently mentioned by Malenia in the game. The scene takes place at the roots of the Haligtree, where Miquella is shown planting a sapling version of the tree. Dialogue in the cutscene hints at Miquella’s intentions for the sapling, including a gift to Malenia. The scene is both intriguing and slightly eerie, with the sapling growing and bleeding before the viewer’s eyes.

Interestingly, the cutscene was intended to play after acquiring part of the Dectus Medallion from Gideon, triggering at the next bonfire rest. However, for reasons unknown, the scene was ultimately cut from the final game. McDonald also revealed that the map where the scene takes place can still be accessed, showcasing the grown Haligtree with no interactive elements. This discovery sheds light on the game’s development process and the decisions made by the developers to omit certain story elements.

For fans of Elden Ring’s lore, this revelation adds a new layer of intrigue to the game’s narrative. It serves as a reminder of the complexities of game development and the delicate balance of storytelling within a vast open-world environment. The existence of this cutscene highlights the ever-evolving nature of game creation and the challenges faced by developers in crafting a cohesive experience for players.

In a separate leak, details from the upcoming Alex Garland adaptation have surfaced, providing a glimpse into the set design. The leaked images depict a location resembling one of the churches of Marika, set in what appears to be a British park. It remains to be seen if this scene will make the final cut, adding to the intrigue surrounding the adaptation’s production.
