Enhancing Communication: The Future of iMessage App with AI Backgrounds
Apple recently released a significant update to its Apple Invites app, offering more than just new backgrounds. The app, launched last year, allows users to plan social gatherings and events seamlessly from their iPhones, integrating with iCloud for guest lists and RSVP management. An iCloud+ subscription is required to create events, but even the basic plan qualifies.
Since its launch in February 2025, Apple has continuously updated Apple Invites, adding seasonal themes, widgets, and calendar integration. The latest 1.8 update introduces an Invites iMessage app, leveraging iMessage applets to easily share event invites during chats.
The update also includes improvements like personalized playlist suggestions, Image Playground themes, host management features, and the ability to share invite cards. These enhancements aim to make it easier for hosts to manage events, even accommodating guests who prefer more traditional RSVP methods.
Apple Invites 1.8 is available for free on the App Store, with an iCloud+ subscription required for event creation. The app can be used for receiving invites and RSVPs for free, while creating and collaborating on playlists requires an Apple Music subscription.
