Digital Bros Acquires IP Rights to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Italian company Digital Bros, the parent company of 505 Games, recently made headlines by purchasing the intellectual property rights to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers from developer Lenzee for a substantial sum of €4 million. This acquisition grants Digital Bros full ownership of the Wuchang series, marking a significant milestone for the company. Additionally, a press release accompanying the announcement revealed that as of March 31st, 2026, the game had already sold over a million copies.

In a strategic move, Digital Bros stated, “Securing the IP will enhance the Group’s ability to make timely decisions regarding its future development and related investments. The Transaction is consistent with the Group’s strategy of increasing the share of fully owned intellectual property, supporting margin expansion and enhancing long-term value creation. The Group does not expect the acquisition to have a significant impact on the business outlook for the current fiscal year previously disclosed to the market.”

A review of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers by Jason highlighted the game’s shortcomings, stating, “Despite a fascinating premise, one inspired by both Chinese folklore and real-life history, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers resolutely fails to deliver on any of its initial early promise. This is a Soulslike by the numbers, one hampered by a cornucopia of PS5 performance issues that plague the game like a disease.”
