Synaps Secures €3.06 Million Pre-Seed Investment for AI Canvas in Architectural Design

Vienna-based AI canvas for architects, Synaps, has successfully closed a pre-Seed investment round of €3.06 million ($3.6 million) from notable investors including US-based Plug and Play and Fil Rouge. This funding milestone comes just five months after the initial beta launch of the platform.

The beta version was introduced in November 2025 in Tirana, with plans for the official launch of the full product scheduled for summer 2026. CEO Brendon Ahmeti expressed the company’s unique approach, stating, “We wanted to demonstrate actual numbers, traction, and credibility from relevant users to showcase that we are here for the long run.”

Founded by Brendon Ahmeti, Agron Bajraktari, and Kevin Cobaj, Synaps positions itself as an AI canvas for architectural design, offering a comprehensive platform for designing, visualizing, collaborating, and presenting architectural projects.

Synaps is described as a fusion of Figma and the Swedish AI-coding startup Lovable, tailored specifically for architects. The company’s innovative tagline, “turning words into buildings,” reflects its commitment to revolutionizing the architectural design process through “vibe designing” and the utilization of its generative vector-based AI floorplan tool, Vecy AI.

Despite emphasizing the simplicity of vibe designing, Synaps aims to disrupt the architectural drawing and rendering industry through AI integration. By analyzing architects’ behavioral patterns, the platform claims to have reduced the number of commands by 80%, resulting in a 50x faster architectural drawing process in the Synaps editor compared to traditional solutions.

Furthermore, Synaps boasts remarkable rendering speeds, claiming to be 100 to 1,000 times faster than existing solutions for 2D, 3D, and video rendering. This accelerated process is achieved with minimal input, significantly enhancing efficiency for architects worldwide.

With several notable achievements post-beta launch, including 60,000 total users, 1,500 daily active users, and a growing customer base, Synaps has garnered interest from major global VCs. The platform has already been adopted by prominent architectural offices and received positive feedback from industry leaders.

Expanding its reach through social media campaigns and strategic partnerships, Synaps has set up a US office in San Francisco and increased its team size from 4 to 17 employees. The company’s future plans include a substantial user base growth, introduction of new AI tools, and a projected Seed round closure by the end of 2026.

Christopher Polligkeit, Senior Investment Associate at Plug and Play Austria, commended Synaps for its productivity impact on architecture bureaus, highlighting the platform’s efficiency in rendering and collaboration. The seamless integration of AI technology in architectural design marks a significant advancement in the industry.
