Exclusive BMW M8 Speedtop: Limited Edition of 70 units at $500,000 Each
BMW Speedtop Prototype Spotted Testing at Nurburgring
A prototype of the BMW Speedtop has been seen undergoing testing at Nurburgring, providing a sneak peek into the upcoming BMW M8-based luxury wagon despite being heavily camouflaged.
The design of the Speedtop remains faithful to the concept initially revealed at the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The distinctive features, such as the aggressive shark-nose front, central spine running along the body, and elegantly tapering roofline, are all present. Even the intricate winglet-style hidden door handles have been retained.
Under the hood, the BMW Speedtop is expected to house the same formidable 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine found in the BMW M8, rumored to boast an impressive 617 hp and 553 lb ft of torque. Power will likely be channeled through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Reports suggest that BMW plans to produce only 70 units of the Speedtop globally, with each unit priced at $500,000. Production is slated to begin later this year, with deliveries anticipated in 2027.
