Warsaw’s Microamp raises €6.5 million to support European 5G and 6G network technology

Microamp, a pioneering company based in Warsaw, specializing in resilient 5G mmWave wireless solutions, has recently secured €6.5 million in funding to expedite the development of the Microamp Any-G mmWave AI-RAN Wireless Platform. This platform is a fully reconfigurable, software-defined system that allows seamless adaptation to evolving 3GPP standards, frequency bands, network modes, and upcoming 6G features.

The funding was granted by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator, a vital component of the EU’s Horizon Europe framework. The financial support comprises a €2.5 million EIC grant and €4 million equity from the EIC Fund.

Dawid Kuchta, the co-founder and CEO of Microamp, expressed his enthusiasm about this achievement, stating, “This is another significant milestone for Microamp and a strong validation of the innovative work we have been doing in 5G mmWave. It marks the culmination of our contribution to the advancement of this technology and rewards us somehow for being the first company in the world to successfully commercialize 5G mmWave networks.”

He further emphasized the importance of mmWave technology in the AI industrial revolution, noting that it will play a crucial role in ensuring industrial competitiveness. Dawid highlighted the necessity of European technology in this landscape to prevent external dominance over critical infrastructure.

Established in 2020, Microamp focuses on innovating in resilient 5G and 6G mmWave connectivity for real-time operations. The company specializes in designing, constructing, and delivering ultra-high-capacity, near-zero-latency end-to-end networks powered by its proprietary radios.

These networks are tailored to support applications that demand deterministic performance and high-uplink throughput, particularly in sectors like commercial and defense where resilience, security, and jamming resistance are paramount.
