Exciting News: Oppo Reno 16 Phones Set for July Release!

Oppo has officially unveiled its Reno 16 series of smartphones, with all three models set to launch in the UK.

The Oppo Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro, and Reno 16 F are scheduled to debut on 3rd July, offering a departure from the mid-range devices seen in the previous Oppo Reno 13 lineup.

Opting for the Pop White color option for any of these models will showcase the captivating HoloVerse 3D Technology, creating a visual effect resembling a planet casting a shadow on the phone’s back.

All three phones come with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

Both the Oppo Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 feature a more compact 6.32-inch AMOLED display, with the Pro model offering a 144Hz maximum refresh rate for select games.

The Oppo Reno 16 F comes with a slightly larger 6.57-inch screen.

While the Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 support 80W wired charging (excluding wireless charging), the Reno 16 F offers 45W charging.

In the UK, the Oppo Reno 16 Pro houses a 6000mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 6700mAh capacity in the Chinese variant. The Oppo Reno 16 packs a larger 6700mAh battery, while the Oppo Reno 16 F boasts a 7000mAh capacity.

All three models are equipped with triple camera setups. The Oppo Reno 16 Pro features a 200Mp main sensor, a 50Mp 3.5x telephoto lens, a 50Mp ultra-wide lens, and a 50Mp selfie camera.

The Oppo Reno 16 focuses on a 50Mp camera setup.

In terms of performance, the Oppo Reno 16 Pro runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 processor, while the standard Reno 16 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.

The Reno 16 F remains a bit of a mystery in terms of specifications compared to the other models.

Now, let’s delve into the pricing details, which present an intriguing scenario.

Following initial discounts until the end of July, the Oppo Reno 16 Pro with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage will retail for £899, marking a £250 increase from the previous year’s Oppo Reno 13 Pro.

The Oppo Reno 16 with 8GB/512GB storage will be priced at £699, while the Oppo Reno 16 F with 8GB/256GB storage comes in at £649.

While smartphone prices are on the rise across the market, the Oppo Reno 16 series signifies a departure from the mid-range segment.
