Nothing Phone (4b): A Budget-Friendly Smartphone Overview

Nothing, the London-based brand, has recently unveiled its latest budget-friendly smartphone for 2026 – the Nothing Phone (4b). This announcement comes after much anticipation, especially since the absence of a successor to the popular CMF Phone 2 Pro was confirmed. Despite being launched over a year ago, the CMF Phone 2 Pro continues to be a top choice in the best budget phones category.

Design Inspired by Siblings

The design of the Nothing Phone (4b) takes cues from its slightly pricier counterpart, the Nothing Phone (4a). It features subtle semi-transparent elements on the camera module and the simplified Glyph system. The camera module’s shape and the unibody frame resemble those of the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, albeit with a plastic build instead of metal.

The Nothing Phone (4b) boasts an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, making it fully dust-proof and splash-resistant. It comes in standard color options, with the blue variant standing out. Despite its plastic construction, the phone has a substantial feel, measuring 164.4 x 78.2 x 8.6mm and weighing 210g. It also includes the Essential Key for quick access to essential tools and features.

Glyph Interface and Display

The Nothing Phone (4b) features Nothing’s Glyph Interface with 45 mini-LEDs spread across four zones. This setup allows for notifications, charging status indicators, and personalized alerts at a brightness of up to 3,500 nits. The display is a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.
