Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann Reveals Plans for New Hybrid GT Car

Lamborghini is set to shake up the automotive industry with its latest announcement. CEO Stephan Winkelmann has disclosed that the luxury carmaker is venturing into a new territory by introducing a fourth model line. This new addition will be a four-seater hybrid GT, joining the current lineup that includes the Lamborghini Urus, Temerario, and Revuelto.

According to Winkelmann, the upcoming GT car will feature a unique two-plus-two, two-door body style. The company is already hard at work on innovative design concepts for this exciting project.

Despite the recent resurgence of interest in manual gearboxes, Lamborghini has decided to steer clear of this trend. Winkelmann emphasized the brand’s commitment to focusing on significant developments, stating, “We focus on the big tickets.”

Winkelmann further elaborated, “With our current three models and a strategic approach to derivatives, we are also channeling our resources into the development of a fourth model. This strategic focus is crucial for the company’s growth and success.”

The upcoming Lamborghini model line is expected to feature a hybrid powertrain, not solely for environmental reasons but primarily to enhance performance. Instant torque, improved efficiency, and a consistent global appeal are key factors in the decision to embrace hybrid technology.

Winkelmann emphasized the importance of hybridization in enhancing performance and maintaining the brand’s global appeal. He stated, “Hybridization serves as a performance booster rather than just a means to reduce emissions. Our focus is on creating a product that resonates with Lamborghini enthusiasts worldwide.”
