Apple’s new AirTags are back down to their best price

Enhanced Precision Finding with Second-Generation AirTag

In recent times, an increasing number of Bluetooth trackers have gained access to Apple’s Find My network. However, none of them combine this feature with Apple’s latest ultra-wideband (UWB) chip. This UWB chip enables even more precise Precision Finding than ever before. Precision Finding utilizes on-screen arrows and distance indicators in the Find My app to direct you straight to a misplaced item. The upgraded chip and extended Bluetooth range of the second-generation AirTag make locating tags faster and more reliable, even in homes with multiple floors. Additionally, if you own a Series 9 or later Apple Watch, you can leverage Precision Finding to locate lost items. Furthermore, the built-in speaker is now significantly louder, making it easier to locate an AirTag by sound.

Travel-Friendly Features of the Second-Generation AirTag

Similar to its predecessor, the second-generation AirTag offers several features that are particularly beneficial for summer travelers. AirTag sharing allows up to five individuals to track the same item. Additionally, Apple’s Share Item Location feature enables you to share an AirTag’s location temporarily with select airlines such as United, Delta, and American Airlines. While the absence of a built-in lanyard hole remains a drawback, requiring the purchase of a separate loop or holder, the tracker still utilizes a replaceable CR2032 battery. This means you won’t need to replace the entire device when the battery eventually depletes. Priced at $89 for a four-pack, the second-generation AirTag is also a budget-friendly option.
