New Trailer Released for 1666: Amsterdam Unveils Main Characters and Storyline

A recent trailer drop for 1666: Amsterdam delves into the narrative of the game, shedding light on its two primary characters, their motivations, and the intricate bond they share across centuries.

One of the central characters is Noa, a woman hailing from the year 1666, groomed to inherit the powerful Zaindaris lineage of witches. Her mission involves reclaiming the ancient corrupting magic, Nux, from enigmatic figures known as Originals. Armed with a variety of ancient magic-infused tools, Noa also shares a mysterious connection with a man from 333 years in the future.

On the other hand, Aaron starts off as an ordinary teacher but finds himself transformed into a cat by his girlfriend during a vacation, sending him hurtling back in time. Aaron’s feline agility proves to be a valuable asset, enabling him to navigate through challenging obstacles and inaccessible areas.

Those who sampled the prologue during Summer Game Fest will find some elements of the game familiar. The newly released trailer provides additional insights into the storyline and offers glimpses of gameplay mechanics.

Developed by Panache, the studio founded by Patrice Désilets, the renowned creative mind behind the early Assassin’s Creed titles, 1666: Amsterdam showcases Désilets’ signature style of dual time period storytelling.
