Samsung SmartThings App Receives Major Upgrade for Free

Exciting news has surfaced about a significant upgrade for SmartThings, marking a long-awaited development in the app’s evolution.

Despite the visual updates introduced with One UI 8.0 for other Samsung apps, SmartThings has remained unchanged. However, a new report from SamMobile reveals that this is about to change.

Evidence suggests that a modern visual update is on the horizon for SmartThings, addressing the app’s outdated appearance.

Introducing the New SmartThings

The upcoming SmartThings update will feature a sleek pill-shaped floating tab bar, consistent with Samsung’s recent app design changes. This tab will include five categories: Home, Devices, Life, Routines, and Menu.

Reportedly, the app’s background will be dynamic, adapting to the time of day and user location, with nine live wallpapers available for customization.

SmartThings Now cards will offer intelligent suggestions at the top of the home screen, while three new widget types – Device Control, Screen Device Control, and Routines – will enhance user experience.
