ETH Zurich spin-off Aisot Technologies bags €2.13 million to bring agentic AI to portfolio management

Aisot Technologies, a startup based in Zurich, has successfully completed a Seed extension round, raising €2.13 million (CHF 2 million). The funding round saw continued support from existing investors, as well as the addition of new investors such as family offices and experienced angel investors. Notably, Felix Haldner, former Partner at Partners Group and former President of the Swiss Funds & Asset Management Association (SFAMA), has joined as a new investor.

Stefan Klauser, co-founder and CEO of Aisot Technologies, expressed his gratitude for the continued trust of existing investors and the endorsement from new supporters like Felix Haldner. Klauser emphasized the company’s mission to assist wealth managers in Switzerland and globally in integrating AI into their investment processes effectively and transparently.

Established in 2021 as an official spin-off from ETH Zurich, Aisot provides AI-driven solutions for portfolio optimization and risk management to asset and wealth managers, as well as family offices.

Using a combination of quantitative financial analysis, machine learning, and news sentiment analysis, Aisot offers forecasting and decision-making models tailored for institutional deployment. The platform enables large asset managers to identify additional signals and grants smaller investment firms access to professional data, AI, and quant infrastructure for portfolio construction and personalization without the need to develop and manage it internally.

Aisot’s AI-powered platform provides data-driven decision support throughout the portfolio management lifecycle, covering strategy development, backtesting, rebalancing, optimization, and monitoring.

Felix Haldner shared his belief in the efficiency gains Aisot’s solutions can offer asset and wealth managers. He highlighted the potential benefits in analysis, portfolio management, and product development, noting that Aisot’s models aim to enhance return optimization across various investment strategies.
