A Record-Breaking Sale: The 2023 Ferrari Daytona SP3

Recently, a remarkable event unfolded at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey Car Week auction in California. A striking 2023 Ferrari Daytona SP3 exchanged hands for an astounding $17,825,000, making it a significant transaction in the automotive world. The proud new owner is now the third individual to possess this exquisite vehicle.

This sale marks a remarkable milestone for a standard-production Daytona SP3. Not only does it signify a new record for a non-charity example sold at a public auction, but it also solidifies the car’s status as a coveted collector’s item. Although there exists another SP3 that holds the title for the most expensive example ever sold, this particular sale is a testament to the enduring appeal of the Ferrari brand.

Adorned in Giallo Triplo Strato, a captivating Triple-Layer Yellow hue, this Ferrari Daytona SP3 boasts Nero racing stripes and an Italian flag motif that accentuates its sleek design. The interior complements the exterior aesthetics with Nero leather, Giallo accents, and an array of carbon-fiber elements, including the roof and lower bodywork. Adding to its allure are the Scuderia Ferrari shields that enhance the overall visual appeal.

Under the hood, this masterpiece is equipped with a potent naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine generating an impressive 829 horsepower. Teamed with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the Daytona SP3 can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.85 seconds and achieve a top speed exceeding 211 mph, showcasing its exceptional performance capabilities.
