Google Pixel Owners Prepare for Groundbreaking Android 17 Customization Upgrade
The customization options for Quick Settings on Android devices have been expanded with the latest Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 update, according to a report by 9to5Google. Users now have the ability to rearrange the three main sections of the menu, providing a new level of flexibility beyond simply selecting tiles and adjusting their order.
This new feature, if included in the final build, will offer Pixel phone users a higher degree of personalization and enhance the convenience of accessing Quick Settings for various tasks.
Three sections can be rearranged
The three key sections that can now be rearranged in the expanded Quick Settings menu are:
- Brightness slider
- Quick Settings tiles
- Permanent media player
Users can utilize a drag-and-drop interface to rearrange these elements, allowing for a total of six possible layout configurations. This level of customization enables users to prioritize the placement of the media player, Quick Settings tiles, or brightness slider based on their individual preferences and usage patterns.
