Google Gemini is getting a dedicated student hub

Google Launches Student Hub in Gemini for Back-to-School Season

With the back-to-school season approaching, Google is introducing a new student hub within Gemini. This hub serves as a centralized platform for students to gather research in a study notebook, create flashcards, take practice quizzes, and more. Notably, Google is enhancing the study notebooks by adding support for graphs and images. Additionally, the platform can automatically sync test dates and deadlines to your Google Calendar based on your syllabus.

Deep Research Added to Gemini Live

Google is also incorporating Deep Research into Gemini Live. Users can request Gemini to generate complex research reports and discuss the outcomes. If the process takes some time, users have the option to close the chat and lock their phone screen. Gemini will notify them once the report is ready. Furthermore, a new feature will soon be introduced to Lens in the Google mobile app. This feature enables users to snap a photo of their study material or worksheet and receive explanations, assistance with challenging concepts, or even guidance if errors are made.

Exciting Offers for Students

In the United States, eligible students can enjoy a complimentary one-year subscription to Google AI Pro. This subscription includes 5TB of storage, Google Health Premium, increased usage limits on Gemini, and access to Gemini across various Google apps. Students outside the US can opt for the Google AI Plus sub, which offers 400GB of storage and slightly lower Gemini usage limits.
