The Fitbit Edge: A New Addition to Fitbit’s Line-Up

The Fitbit Edge is an upcoming fitness tracker that seems to be a successor to the popular midrange Charge line. Recently leaked images posted by Android Headlines reveal that the Fitbit Edge sits somewhere between the Pixel Watch and the Fitbit Air in terms of features and design. With a small screen capable of displaying widgets, it offers some functionality of a smartwatch but with a more compact design.

Features of the Fitbit Edge

The Fitbit Edge is expected to have a seven-day battery life, built-in GPS, and an altimeter, making it a more capable device compared to the minimalist Fitbit Air. It will also support limited apps such as Google Maps and YouTube Music, providing users with additional functionality. While there is still limited information available about the Fitbit Edge, these features make it an exciting addition to Fitbit’s product line.

Release and Pricing Information

The Fitbit Charge line was last updated in 2023, indicating that a new midrange tracker is long overdue. While the exact release date and pricing details for the Fitbit Edge are still unknown, it is speculated to be priced in the range of $150 to $200. This positioning places it between the $99.99 Fitbit Air and the $399.99 Pixel Watch. Currently, the Fitbit Charge 6 is priced at $159.95, giving consumers an idea of where the Fitbit Edge might fall in terms of pricing.
