Glowmade recently unveiled their latest project, Rogue Fortune, a captivating single-player top-down roguelite game that introduces a novel twist – geometric puzzles for progression. Scheduled to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, Switch, and PC in 2027, this game is set to offer an immersive gaming experience like no other.

The announcement of Rogue Fortune took place at Gamescom, although it may have slipped under the radar amidst the excitement of the event. Players can look forward to engaging in 30-minute runs within the game, with progression tied to solving intricate geometric puzzles using relics. By strategically placing these relics on a character board, players can enhance their power-ups, enabling them to unleash new attacks and abilities.

Players will embark on a quest to amass a fortune in gold and coins, which can be spent to increase their chances of survival or saved to accumulate wealth. Jonny Hopper, co-founder of Glowmade, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Rogue Fortune combines the thrill of roguelite gameplay with a unique strategic puzzle mechanic. Players must think creatively to master the combat and conquer the challenges presented in the Temple.”

Rogue Fortune marks Glowmade’s return to the gaming scene following the closure of their previous project, King of Meat, earlier this year. Despite facing setbacks, the team has persevered and is now focusing on delivering innovative gameplay experiences to their audience. Drawing on their expertise from their time at Media Molecule, the developers at Glowmade aim to blend player-created content with family-friendly dungeon crawling and 3D platforming elements in Rogue Fortune.

While King of Meat faced challenges in finding its audience and was ultimately discontinued, Glowmade has emerged stronger and more determined to carve a successful path in the gaming industry. The studio’s resilience and commitment to innovation are evident in their latest endeavor, Rogue Fortune.
