Upon the launch of the device, concerns started to surface due to its high price and gimmicky ‘HiLight’ feature. Despite this, I remained optimistic that it would be the ideal phone for me and set the standard for all compact flagships.

However, two weeks later, my optimism has been shattered. The Pixel 11 Pro, in its current state, has proven to be a major disappointment. Instead of being a reliable daily companion, it has become a burden.

One would expect flagship phones to have figured out battery life by now, right? With a 4850mAh battery, the Pixel 11 Pro should at least provide a full day of usage without any issues.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case. While I do manage to make it through the day, there is a constant sense of battery anxiety. If I forget to charge it in the morning, which has happened a few times, I find myself desperately searching for a charger before the day ends. It’s simply not acceptable.

The most frustrating part is that the most significant battery drainage occurs when the screen is not even in use. The standby battery drain of the Pixel 11 Pro is alarmingly high, losing between 10-15% every night. Every time I check it after a few hours, I can almost guarantee a decrease in battery percentage.

While I could disable mobile data and location services and lower the brightness to conserve battery, the phone should be able to handle these features effortlessly. If other phones can manage it, why can’t the Pixel 11 Pro?
