Get Ready for Tropico 7: What to Expect in the Latest Release

As the cold, dark days of January drag on, many of us yearn for a tropical escape. If you’re looking to satisfy that craving without leaving the comfort of your own home, you’re in luck – Tropico 7 is set to be released on January 28th. The first gameplay trailer has already been unveiled, giving players a taste of what’s to come. Originally planned for a 2026 release, the game’s launch was slightly delayed.

Tropico 7 promises to deliver five engaging campaign maps, introducing a new nemesis, Victoria Guerra. Players can also look forward to exploring 20 sandbox maps, tackling 10 new scenarios, and utilizing a random map generator to keep gameplay fresh and exciting. With a range of edicts available to issue based on El Prez’s political stance, as well as the reactions of different factions and the population, players will face strategic decisions that impact the island’s future. Additionally, the military aspect of Tropico has been revamped for this installment, offering more control over military units to handle rebels and foreign threats.

In a review of Tropico 6, Nick mentioned, “Tropico 6 feels like the kind of game that you can fall back on when every other game gets a little too stressful. The economy can be tricky to get started, but you can soon start to kick back and take it easy. If you are finding it too hard though, turn on unlimited money and enjoy your break. It’s almost like going on holiday to the Caribbean, which is fitting really.”
