Apple to Open Cutting-Edge Live Music Venue in London

Apple is set to unveil a new “state-of-the-art” live music space in the UK, a 600-capacity venue for hosting performances, recording sessions, and video broadcasts. The venue, known as Apple Music Hall, will be situated beneath Apple’s European headquarters in the iconic Battersea Power Station in London. The grand opening is scheduled for September 28th, with the details of the inaugural show yet to be revealed.

Apple’s Commitment to Live Music

Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and International Content, expressed Apple’s longstanding passion for music, tracing back to the early days of the iPod and iTunes Music Festival. With the introduction of Apple Music Hall, Apple aims to further support artists and music enthusiasts in a unique way.

Unique Features of Apple Music Hall

Apple Music Hall’s limited capacity and layout are meticulously designed to bridge the gap between intimacy and production value. The venue offers seating that brings the audience closer to the performer, while providing artists with a versatile 38-foot-wide stage that can be customized to their requirements. Equipped with a 48-speaker spatial sound system, multiple broadcast cameras, and dedicated recording and mixing studios, Apple Music Hall functions as a comprehensive production facility.

In addition to Apple Music Hall, Apple is launching new radio studios in Battersea, where all London-based hosts and shows will now broadcast. Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director, emphasized the company’s dedication to connecting artists and fans through memorable music experiences at the new venue.

Apple Music Hall marks Apple’s resurgence in London’s music scene, following the successful run of the iTunes Music Festival in the city for ten years.
