Gemini for iPhone gets homescreen redesign, auto-opens keyboard

Gemini app on iPhone has recently undergone a homescreen redesign that includes an auto-opening keyboard feature upon launch. The redesign focuses on enhancing user experience by making the “Ask Gemini” field wider, removing the microphone and camera icons, and simplifying the interface with buttons for voice input and Gemini Live.

Additionally, the ‘plus’ menu now provides access to the Camera, Gallery, and Files, while a subtle tweak removes the separator above the field for a cleaner look. The new text box transforms into a rounded rectangle once a prompt is entered, and the keyboard now automatically opens when launching Gemini, allowing users to start typing immediately.

This update, part of version 1.2025.0670001 of the Gemini app, also introduces features such as the ability to reference past chats for more personalized assistance with Gemini Advanced, improved sources and related content display, detailed responses about places on Google Maps, and various UI enhancements and bug fixes.

Furthermore, recent Gemini updates for the iPhone app include options like Deep Research and access to the latest 2.0 Flash and Experimental models, offering different functionalities based on user needs and preferences.

As Gemini continues to evolve, users can expect more innovative features and improvements to enhance their overall experience. Stay tuned for future updates and enhancements to the Gemini app on iPhone. Transform the following text:
