Unveiling DREADMOOR: The 2026 Release with a New Publisher
Publisher Digital Vortex Acquires Rights to Lovecraftian Fishing Game DREADMOOR
Exciting news for fans of Lovecraftian horror and gaming as Digital Vortex has recently announced that they will be publishing Dream Dock’s highly anticipated fishing game, DREADMOOR.
Set to launch on Windows PC via Steam in 2026, DREADMOOR promises a unique and immersive experience that goes beyond traditional fishing games set in an apocalyptic world.
Rostislav Fedorov, CEO of Dream Dock Studio, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Digital Vortex, stating, “We’re building an IP that goes far beyond fishing in the apocalypse. Partnering with Digital Vortex Entertainment allows us to scale production, refine the vision, and bring DREADMOOR’s madness to a global audience.”
Alex Izotov, CEO of Digital Vortex Entertainment, shared his excitement for the project, highlighting the game’s captivating vision and its blend of Lovecraftian horror and post-nuclear survival themes.
The previously announced game has already garnered significant interest, with over 40,000 wishlists on Steam within just 10 days of its April 2025 announcement. The game is now among the top 600 most-wishlisted titles on the platform, setting a positive trajectory for its full release in Q4 2026.
DREADMOOR offers players a dark first-person horror fishing adventure, where they explore both land and sea, encountering a variety of aquatic creatures in a flooded wasteland filled with danger and mystery. Drawing inspiration from popular titles like DREDGE, Metro Exodus, and Resident Evil, the game features cinematic storytelling, psychological tension, crafting mechanics, and addictive fishing gameplay.
