Revolutionizing Freight Transport: NexDash Secures €5 Million for Electrification Across Europe
NexDash: Revolutionizing Europe’s Logistics Industry with Electric Trucks
In a groundbreaking move, NexDash, a German-based logistics startup, has secured €5 million in a Seed round to establish Europe’s first “Neo-Carrier” for electric trucks, just months after its inception.
The funding, spearheaded by Extantia Capital and supported by Clean Energy Ventures, underscores NexDash’s commitment to accelerating the transition from diesel to electric freight through a digitally orchestrated, zero-emission trucking network.
Founder and CEO Michael Cassau emphasizes, “Germany’s electrification starts with logistics,” highlighting the company’s mission to consolidate, transform, and electrify diesel fleets, ultimately creating a Trucking-as-a-Service model unique to Europe.
Notably, NexDash’s Seed round aligns with a larger trend in 2025, where European startups focused on logistics electrification and mobility infrastructure secured significant funding. Companies like Delta Charge, Evera, Deftpower, and Hyperdrives collectively received approximately €21.2 million, signaling a robust investment in the electrification of transport.
Joern-Carlos Kuntze, Partner at Extantia Capital, affirms, “Electrification in heavy-duty transport doesn’t fail because of technology, but because of orchestration.” He commends NexDash for integrating software, infrastructure, and capital to optimize operations effectively.
Founded by Michael Cassau in 2025, NexDash aims to address the carbon-intensive nature of Europe’s logistics sector. The company’s innovative approach, powered by its proprietary AI-driven operating system NexOS, enables real-time fleet orchestration, paving the way for scalable electrification and eventual autonomous logistics.
With the recent funding, NexDash plans to acquire mid-sized logistics operators, facilitate fleet electrification through structured financing, and manage operations via its Trucking-as-a-Service platform. The ultimate goal is to establish a digitally managed, economically viable, and environmentally sustainable electric freight network.
Partnered with industry expert Karsten Sachsenröder, NexDash combines digitalization, electrification, and consolidation to overcome traditional roadblocks in the logistics sector. By addressing technological, capital, and operational challenges, the company is poised to lead Europe’s transition towards green logistics.
Daniel Goldman, Managing Partner at Clean Energy Ventures, praises NexDash’s scalable, data-driven model in a sector ripe for disruption. The Seed funding will facilitate early electric truck deployments, support charging infrastructure partnerships, fund acquisitions, and drive further development of NexOS.
With ambitions for a Europe-wide expansion, NexDash is positioning itself as a pivotal player in the continent’s sustainable logistics future.
