Apple’s Solution: Resolving the iPhone Alarm Sound Glitch
iPhone Alarms Not Playing Sound: Apple Working on Fix
Reports have been surfacing on social media from iPhone users who claim that their alarms are not playing a sound as expected. Apple has acknowledged the issue and stated that they are currently working on a solution.
Apple confirmed the problem to the Wall Street Journal’s Joanna Stern, revealing that some iPhone alarms are not playing the intended sound and that a fix is in progress.
According to some social media users, the problem may be related to the Attention Aware feature on iPhones. This feature is designed to lower the volume of alerts when the user is actively looking at the device.
Speculation on social media suggests that the Attention Aware feature might be mistakenly detecting attention and reducing the alarm volume even when the user is asleep. Apple has not confirmed this as the definitive cause of the issue.
To turn off the Attention Aware Features, users can navigate to the Settings app, tap on Face ID & Passcode, and disable the feature from there.
