Speculation Mounts: Apple’s Chip Chief Could Be the Next Executive to Depart
Apple Faces Potential Executive Departures Amid Industry Challenges
Recent reports suggest that Apple’s senior vice president of hardware technologies, Johny Srouji, is contemplating leaving the tech giant for other opportunities. This news comes after Srouji was said to be reevaluating his future at the company in October. While no official decision has been made, it appears that Srouji may be moving away from Apple in the near future.
If Srouji does depart, he would join a series of high-profile exits from Apple’s C-suite. The retirement of COO Jeff Williams in July prompted some organizational changes, and the trend continued in December with the resignations of AI chief John Giannandrea, policy lead Lisa Jackson, general counsel Kate Adams, and UI design lead Alan Dye, who moved to Meta.
Apple has faced challenges in adapting to the evolving landscape of AI technology, leading to uncertainty within the company. CEO Tim Cook is now tasked with addressing these concerns amid rumors of his own potential departure. While reports of Cook’s exit may be premature, they contribute to the overall climate of instability at a company known for its stability in Silicon Valley.
