iPhone 17 Users Beware: iOS 26.3 Beta Disrupts Continuity Features
Apple’s latest iOS 26.3 beta release has hit a snag, breaking core Continuity features across some of the newest iPhone and iPad models. While beta versions are expected to have bugs, this particular update has caused issues with mirroring and camera functionalities, leaving users frustrated.
The problem primarily affects devices with Apple’s new N1 wireless chip, designed to enhance performance over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Wireless Continuity Camera is the main casualty, with users experiencing issues like failed AirPlay mirroring and broken iPhone mirroring. The glitch seems to be related to the N1 chip, as features like Bluetooth and CarPlay connectivity have been significantly improved by it.
Although Apple has not provided an explanation for the broken features, it is likely a temporary issue that will be resolved before the final release of iOS 26.3. The company is expected to release a new beta version soon to address the issues, as they typically increase the frequency of beta releases as the final release approaches.
With rumors of iOS 26.4 betas incorporating Gemini-powered Siri enhancements, the public release of iOS 26.3 is anticipated shortly. However, users are advised to avoid the third beta if they rely on Mirroring, Continuity Camera, and Sidecar functionalities.
Overall, while the current beta may have its flaws, Apple is likely working diligently to rectify the issues and provide a seamless user experience in the final release. Stay tuned for updates and improvements in future beta versions.
