AI-Powered Scheduling: Gmail’s New Feature for Finding Meeting Times

Google is introducing a new Gemini AI-powered feature called “Help me schedule” to simplify the process of setting up meetings with colleagues and clients. This feature analyzes your Google Calendar and the context of your message to suggest suitable meeting times. You can easily insert these suggestions into your email.
When composing an email to schedule a meeting, the “Help me schedule” option will automatically appear if Gemini detects your intention. By clicking on it, you can view available time slots and quickly include them in your email. For example, if your coworker requests a 30-minute meeting next week, Gemini will identify 30-minute slots within your availability for that time period.
Additionally, you have the flexibility to edit the suggested times and add more slots as needed. Once your recipient chooses a time from the email, Google will automatically create a Calendar invite for both of you. This is just one of the AI-powered features recently introduced for Gmail, which also includes email summarization and an “Add to Calendar” button for upcoming events.
Currently, the “Help me schedule” feature is designed for scheduling meetings between two individuals and is being rolled out to Workspace customers, as well as Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers. It offers a convenient and efficient way to coordinate meetings while leveraging the power of AI technology.
In conclusion, Google’s new “Help me schedule” feature streamlines the process of setting up meetings by providing intelligent suggestions based on your calendar and message context. This innovative tool enhances productivity and collaboration, making it easier for users to manage their schedules effectively.
