Summarizing the Comparison

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ are set to be compared directly to their predecessors.

The smaller S26 model is expected to bring significant upgrades.

The similarities between the S26+ and its predecessor may be due to a late reinstatement.

Recent reports have revealed details on how the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ will differ from the previous flagship models, with the smaller variant showing the most potential for improvement.

A comprehensive comparison chart compiled by renowned Samsung leaker Ice Universe outlines the differences between the upcoming Galaxy S26 and S26+ and the current Galaxy S25 and S25+.

Interestingly, the smaller Galaxy S26 seems to be the one receiving the most notable upgrades.

Key Upgrades in the Samsung Galaxy S26

Firstly, the Galaxy S26 is expected to feature a slightly larger 6.3-inch AMOLED display compared to the 6.2-inch screen on the Galaxy S25, aligning it with competitors like the iPhone 17 and Google Pixel 10.

In addition, the new model will be equipped with a more powerful processor, potentially either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip or the Exynos 2600.

The Galaxy S26 will also boast a 4300mAh battery, marking a 7.5% increase from the 4000mAh battery in the Galaxy S25.

In addition to these significant upgrades, the Galaxy S26 will be slightly slimmer at 6.9mm and will offer a 256GB base storage option, a welcome improvement from the previous 128GB base model.

Other notable features include an unchanged camera setup and continued support for 25W wired charging.

Exploring the Samsung Galaxy S26+

In contrast to the Galaxy S26, the Samsung Galaxy S26+ seems to share more similarities with its predecessor, the Galaxy S25+.

Reports suggest that the S26+ will feature the same display, camera, battery, and similar dimensions, indicating a lack of significant updates.

This similarity may be attributed to rumors that the Galaxy S26+ was rushed into production as a replacement for the planned Galaxy S26 Edge, possibly due to underwhelming sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge.
