World's first and only Porsche 911 S/T kitted with a roof tent

The Unique Sonderwunsch Porsche 911 S/T with a Factory-Fitted Roof Tent

In June of last year, a special Sonderwunsch Porsche 911 S/T was delivered, painted in a unique shade of pink known as ‘PTS Plus Fraise. What sets this car apart is the recent modification made by the factory at the customer’s request.

This particular Porsche 911 S/T now holds the title of being the world’s first to feature a factory-fitted roof tent. This modification is unprecedented, as the Porsche roof tent was not originally designed for the S/T model, and it is not typically compatible with other 911 variants such as the GT, Cabriolet, and Targa models. The owner has confirmed that this 911 S/T will remain the only one converted to accommodate roof rails.

Previously, this same 911 S/T made headlines for having a duplicate limited-edition number plaque – a rare mistake by Porsche. The original 911 S/T #1724 was initially delivered to Pedro Solis Klussmann of Guatemala.

Instead of ignoring the error, Porsche took ownership of the mistake and invited both customers to the factory to acknowledge the double rarity. This unique occurrence has been officially documented in the brand’s archives.

Only 1963 units of the 911 S/T were produced, each tailored to the owner’s preferences. However, standout models like the Fraise 911 S/T truly shine among the rest.
