Actor Christopher Judge Teases New God of War Remakes and Sony Santa Monica Project

Christopher Judge, known for his role as Kratos in recent God of War games, has hinted at exciting developments in the world of gaming. In a recent video, he revealed that TC Carson will be reprising his role as Kratos in the upcoming God of War remakes. Judge also mentioned the introduction of “new technology and new fighting systems” in the remakes, promising an enhanced gaming experience for fans.

Furthermore, Judge alluded to a potential announcement from Sony Santa Monica, the studio behind the God of War series. He hinted that more information about their upcoming project could be revealed later in the summer. While he did not explicitly confirm a new God of War game, his mention of “we” likely refers to Sony Santa Monica, who have been quiet since the release of God of War Ragnarok in 2022.

The video containing Judge’s revelations has since been removed from the YouTube channel where it was originally shared, sparking speculation among fans. While the authenticity of the video remains uncertain, Judge’s comments have piqued the interest of the gaming community.

In the original God of War (2005), Kratos finds himself serving Ares, the God of War, after a desperate pledge during battle. Manipulated by Ares, Kratos tragically ends up killing his own wife and daughter before ultimately defeating Ares and claiming the title of God of War for himself.

In subsequent games, Kratos faces challenges from Zeus, leading to his demise and banishment to the underworld. Through alliances with the Titans and time manipulation, Kratos seeks revenge on Mount Olympus, only to face further betrayals and defeats at the hands of Zeus.

While Judge has portrayed Kratos in the recent game titles, he will not be reprising the role for the upcoming Amazon TV show. The mantle of Kratos will be taken up by Ryan Hurst, known for his role as Opie Winston in Sons of Anarchy. Hurst’s casting in the show adds to the anticipation surrounding the adaptation of the beloved gaming franchise.

The Amazon series, set to explore Norse mythology, has generated significant buzz with two seasons ordered even before filming has commenced. As the show delves into Kratos’ journey in a new mythological realm, fans are eager to see how the iconic character’s story unfolds on screen.
