Meat Kingdom: A Short-Lived Reign
Amazon Game Studio Announces Shutdown of King of Meat Servers
After six months of operation, Amazon Game Studio has made the decision to shut down the servers of the co-op platformer King of Meat, which was launched on October 2nd. The servers will be switched off on April 9th and the game has already been removed from sale, making it inaccessible to new players.
In a recent statement, Amazon Game Studio expressed gratitude towards the community for embracing the fun and chaotic world of King of Meat. Despite the creativity and innovation brought by Glowmade, the game failed to attract the expected audience, leading to the difficult decision of discontinuing support. The servers will officially close on April 9, 2026, allowing players to enjoy the existing content until then.
All players who have purchased King of Meat will receive a full refund from their platform provider in the coming weeks. This gesture is a token of appreciation for the support and feedback received from the dedicated player base. The partnership with Glowmade has been acknowledged, and the team wishes them success in their future endeavors.
For existing players of King of Meat, the game will no longer offer the option to purchase Stamps, and there will be no further updates in terms of content or bug fixes. Refunds will be processed directly by platform holders between February 24th and April 9th. In case of any issues with refunds, players are advised to contact customer support for assistance.
