Amazon Introduces New Alexa Personality Styles for Users
Amazon has unveiled new features that give Alexa users more control over the voice assistant’s behavior and responses. Three distinct “personality styles” are now available for Alexa Plus users in the US, allowing them to tailor the AI-powered assistant to their personal preferences.
According to Amazon, Alexa’s personality is a key aspect that customers appreciate. The familiar voice and character of Alexa have become integral to many users’ daily routines. In response to customer feedback, Amazon has introduced new personality presets to enhance the user experience.
The three new style presets are Brief, Chill, and Sweet. The Brief option offers concise and direct responses, catering to customers who prefer a no-nonsense communication style. Chill provides a relaxed energy similar to chatting with a laid-back friend, while Sweet aims to be a supportive and enthusiastic companion.
While some users may find overly cheerful AI personalities off-putting, the Brief style appeals to those who prefer a more straightforward approach. On the other hand, the Sweet option may be too enthusiastic for some users, leading to concerns about developing unhealthy attachments to AI assistants.
The new Alexa Plus personality styles are compatible with eight different voice options. Users can switch between personality styles by using voice commands or navigating through the Alexa app settings.
