BMW is set to provide a factory-developed track day package for the M2 and introduce a performance exhaust option for the M2 CS starting in July 2026. The M Performance Track Kit will be priced at €23,500 excluding installation, catering to enthusiasts seeking a blend of street-legal functionality and enhanced circuit performance.
What’s Included in the Track Kit
The Track Kit focuses on aerodynamics, featuring a front splitter, diffuser, wheel arch diffusers, and a rear wing with adjustable settings for optimal downforce based on circuit requirements. A “Race Mode” enhances aerodynamic efficiency, while a “Street Mode” ensures compliance with German road regulations.

The kit also includes a coilover chassis with adjustable damping, top mounts, and ride height flexibility, along with StVZO-compliant ultra-track tires for optimal performance.
The development of the Track Kit was overseen by Jörg Weidinger, a BMW M engineer and Nürburgring record holder.
M2 CS Exhaust Option
BMW is launching an M Performance exhaust system for the M2 CS, offering weight reduction and multiple sound modes tailored to the CS’s powerful inline-six engine. Carbon and titanium tailpipe trims are available as optional upgrades, with prices starting at €8,343.50.
The M2 CS, known for its performance capabilities, remains a top choice in the compact performance coupe segment, competing with models like the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 and Alpine A110 R.
Both the Track Kit and exhaust option are expected to be available in markets by July 2026, with U.S. availability for the Track Kit in the third quarter of the same year.
