Unencrypted Tiles: A Stalker’s Dream Come True
Prioritizing Privacy and Safety at Life360
At Life360, the protection of our members and products is of utmost importance to us. This commitment is demonstrated through our active participation in the HackerOne program, a platform utilized by numerous technology companies. Through this program, ethical hackers and security researchers can responsibly report any potential vulnerabilities, allowing us to promptly address and implement necessary changes. Since the initial submission, we have made significant enhancements to our systems and continue to focus on improving the safety and security of families.
As we continue to integrate Tile into Life360’s comprehensive platform, our primary goal remains to ensure the safety and well-being of our members. It is crucial to emphasize that using a Tile device to track someone’s location without their consent is a direct violation of our terms of service. In the rare instances of alleged misuse, we work closely with law enforcement agencies and strictly adhere to Life360’s Law Enforcement Guidelines.
Our ongoing efforts are centered around creating a secure environment that promotes trust and connectivity among families. By prioritizing the most impactful areas for our members, we strive to offer a seamless transition while upholding the highest standards of privacy and safety.
