Austrian Post strengthens its presence in Bulgaria through acquisition of majority stake in euShipments.com
Austrian Post has successfully finalized the acquisition of a 70% interest in Bulgarian startup euShipments.com, a key player in the logistics sector for online retailers in Central and Eastern Europe. This transaction also signifies the end of BlackPeak Capital’s collaboration with euShipments.com, after providing support for the company’s growth and strategic development over the years.
Svetlozar Dimitrov, the co-founder and CEO of euShipments.com, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating that the partnership with Austrian Post Group will bring about a new phase of strategic development for the company. He emphasized the potential for enhancing operations, expanding the fulfillment network, and delivering increased value to online merchants. By focusing on network connectivity, operational efficiency, and service innovation, the collaboration aims to boost competitiveness in online markets and facilitate expansion into new territories beyond the EU.
Recent investments in e-commerce logistics and fulfillment across Europe highlight the growing importance of the sector. Companies like Quivo, Lyzer, and HubBox have secured significant funding to enhance their technology and operational capabilities, reflecting the demand for efficient last-mile delivery solutions. Sustainability-focused initiatives, such as Sparqle and MyDello, have also attracted investments to support emission-free delivery and logistics visibility.
Lora Dimitrova, co-founder and IT Product owner at euShipments.com, acknowledged the decision to join forces with Austrian Post Group as a strategic move to create more value for clients and enable growth in new markets. The partnership between a major logistics player like Austrian Post and a rapidly expanding e-commerce fulfillment platform like euShipments.com is expected to drive innovation and improve services for online retailers.
Founded in 2012 in Ruse, Bulgaria, euShipments.com offers integrated e-commerce logistics and fulfillment services to over 1,300 online retailers across Europe. The company’s comprehensive solution includes warehousing, fulfillment, domestic and international delivery, payment processing, and returns management. With 15 strategic fulfillment centers and partnerships with local courier companies, euShipments.com provides merchants access to a wide range of delivery methods.
Austrian Post, as the leading postal, logistics, and parcel service provider in Austria, plays a vital role in the country’s communications and e-commerce infrastructure. Operating across three core divisions, the company offers a range of services from letter and parcel delivery to fulfillment and financial services. With a focus on sustainability, Austrian Post operates a large fleet of electric vehicles and maintains numerous out-of-home parcel pick-up and drop-off points.
Angel Stefanov, Partner at BlackPeak Capital, highlighted the successful collaboration with euShipments.com, aiming to position the company as a leading cross-border e-commerce logistics platform in Southeast and Eastern Europe. With the support of Austrian Post as a strategic partner, euShipments.com is well-positioned to continue its expansion and enhance its role as a trusted logistics partner for online merchants across Europe.
In 2025, euShipments.com reported revenues of €51 million, with continued growth following the acquisition. The company recently opened new fulfillment centers in Italy and Spain, expanding its storage capacity significantly. As part of Austrian Post Group, euShipments.com will maintain its independence while focusing on expanding its logistics solutions and geographic coverage to improve services for e-commerce clients.
