Bold and Electrifying: The BMW iX4

BMW is set to electrify its Sport Activity Coupe lineup with the introduction of the iX4 in 2027. This electric-only successor to the X4 promises to be the most stylish and innovative SAC yet.

A Stylish Design Evolution

The iX4 boasts a sleek and sloped roofline, setting it apart from its predecessors. This coupe-SUV is a bold statement in BMW’s lineup, offering a glimpse into the future of the brand’s electric vehicles.

Powertrain and Variants

The iX4 will come in three variants: the 40 xDrive and 50 xDrive will launch in November 2026, followed by the M60 xDrive in March 2027. These models will share the same battery, motors, and fast-charging capabilities as the iX3 NA5.

Production and Assembly

Unlike its predecessors, the iX4 will be exclusively produced at BMW’s Debrecen plant in Hungary. Production is set to begin in November 2026 and extend until October 2035, indicating BMW’s confidence in the model’s success.

The Future of the SAC Family

The iX4 is part of BMW’s larger Neue Klasse transformation, which will see the entire SAC family embrace electric power. With the iX4 leading the charge, BMW is paving the way for a fully electrified lineup of coupe-like crossovers.
