Hyundai Could Be Saying Goodbye To Pixel Lights On Future Ioniq EVs

The Future of Hyundai’s Ioniq Lineup: A Sneak Peek at the Venus and Earth Concepts

Hyundai has been making waves in the electric vehicle market with its Ioniq-branded EVs, known for their impressive range, performance, charging speed, and affordability. Not only are these vehicles praised for their technical capabilities, but also for their unique retro-futuristic designs featuring pixelated light arrays and sleek body contours. Now, Hyundai is teasing a new visual direction for the Ioniq lineup with two intriguing concept vehicles.

Referred to as Venus and Earth, these concepts are shrouded in mystery. Hyundai has released only two images, giving no further details about the vehicles. The description accompanying the images reads: “Born as a statement from above. Made for humans. Represents a new beginning of the Ioniq odyssey.”

While the specifics of these concept cars remain under wraps, the teaser images offer a glimpse into their design. The Venus concept showcases a striking gold paint job with discreet taillamps that seamlessly blend into the body. A fastback roofline adds to the vehicle’s aggressive appearance. On the other hand, the Earth concept features a silver exterior with unique LED headlamps that form an arrow-like pattern, hinting at a futuristic design language.

Although it’s challenging to categorize these concepts, subtle design cues such as black protective molding suggest a possible SUV form factor. The angular lines and forward-facing cockpit resemble elements seen in other Kia concept cars, like the Meta Turismo. The exact debut date and location for the Venus and Earth concepts are yet to be announced, but speculations point towards an unveiling at the Beijing Auto Show or Milan Design Week in April.
